Club News

Bohannon Clubs 

 

We are currently offering 10 different clubs this school year! Students who are interested in in starting a club, can write a proposal and submit it to Ms. Meron and Mr. Lau for approval.

Our school clubs happen before and after school, as well as during lunch. 

American Sign Language (ASL) Club

ASL club is a place where students share the collective goal in learning and understanding the language of American Sign Language. We meet to discuss deaf culture and learn how to communicate silently. Join us at lunch in room 203 with Mrs. Santos.

Board Game Club

Starting Monday Sept, 11th, during lunch stop by Room 504 with Mrs. Gonsalves for an orientation.

You can play games like Uno, Boggle, Blokus, Yahtzee, Headbands, Sequence, Mastermind, Quirkle, Sorry!, and more! Play old favorites and learn some new ones, too!

Black Student Union (BSU)

Starting Wednesday, Sept, 13th, during lunch stop by Room 512 with Ms. Gardner.

The Black Student Union is an organization dedicated to unifying, uplifting and empowering Black People on and off campus.

Chess Club

Starting on Tuesday, September 6, after school, join Ms. Dillon in Room 303 for Craft Club. 

Chess club is a social, informational, instructional, or competitive meeting place where people come together through chess.

Craft Club 

Starting on Tuesday, September 6, after school, join Ms. Dillon in Room 303 for Craft Club. 

Craft Club happens once a month after school, on the first Tuesday of every month after school. From 2:40 PM-3:30 PM--or whenever you are done creating.

Drawing Club

Join Ms. Christine in room 601 on Fridays, during lunch starting September 9th for Drawing Club. All artists are encouraged to join! 

GLOW stands for Gay, Lesbian or Whatever!

GLOW Club will have it’s Grand Re-opening Thursday at 12:15 at lunch, in Room 510 with Mr. Gentile.

All LGBTQ+ students are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Friends, allies, the curious and the questioning are also totally welcome.

Green Thumb Thursday (Houseplants care) 

Are you interested in learning more information about the care of house(indoor)plants? If so, remember room 411, after school with Ms. Kang, starting on Thursday, September 8, for our first meeting. 

  • Generous community members including former BMS students have donated many plants for our Bulldogs!
  • Students will meet every other Thursday from 2:45 to 3:45

Latinx Club

Come join Mrs. Martinelli in room 213 and to learn and celebrate different cultures of Spanish Speaking countries. All are welcome!

Volleyball Club

Volleyball club is starting next week on Tuesday, 9/6!

Volleyball Club will continue every Tuesday and Friday morning in the gym from 7:30AM-8:10 AM with Ms. Shannon and Ms. Rod

  • Doors close at 7:45, so don’t be late.
  • All ability and experience levels are welcome!
