Welcome to Ms. Martinelli's Teacher Page

I have taught Science for the last 8 years. I love spending time with my family and friends.  On my free time, I enjoy taking day trips to the zoo or park with my sons, watching the San Francisco Giants and taking weekend trips to Disneyland.

College
"I began my college journey at College of San Mateo. I later graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors Degree in Health Education. After working as a bilingual aide for a few years, I decided to pursue my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State East Bay.  In 2014, I continued to take Science courses at Cal State East Bay in order to earn a foundational science credential.

District Tools I Use

Attendance
I take attendance using Aeries. You can stay on top of attendance through the Aeries Family Portal or Aeries App.

Report Cards
I use Aeries to generate report cards. Families can view report cards through the Aeries Family Portal.

Gradebook
I plan on using Aeries Gradebook so students and their parent-guardians can view grades through the Aeries Family Portal or Aeries App.

Google Classroom
I am using Google Classroom to post links or other assignments.  The graded assignment will be entered into Aeries Gradebook.

Remote Distance Learning assignments will be posted in Google Classroom. I will add each individual assignment under the classwork tab. Students will receive a copy of the assignment. Assignments can be done on binder paper or a google document. As far as submitting work, you may take a picture of the assignment and post it under the classwork assignment assigned to you. Another option is to email me the picture of your assignment at jmartinelli@slzusd.org. If you created a google document, you can attach it to your classwork assignment in google classroom.

Do you need help or clarification on what to do? Your 6th Grade Science teachers will be available on Google Hangouts on Fridays at 9AM. We will post the Google Hangout link on Google classroom. See you then!
