I grew up in Colorado and I have an adult daughter. I am an avid Seattle Seahawks and Colorado Rockies fan. My favorite animal is my rescue Schnauzer mix, Finn.

College
I attended Metropolitan State College (now Metropolitan State University) in Denver where I received my BA in history and my Colorado teaching credential. I attended Chabot College and Cal State Hayward for my California teaching credential.

Attendance
I take attendance using Aeries. You can stay on top of attendance through the Aeries Family Portal or Aeries App

Report Cards
I use Aeries to generate report cards. Families can view report cards through the Aeries Family Portal.

Gradebook
I am using Aeries Gradebook.

Syllabus: The syllabus can be found in Google Classroom at the bottom of the page in Q1.

Google Classroom/TCI

I use google classroom to post our assignments. Our newly textbook,TCI, can be found in Canvas Please make sure you've logged in using your school account. You will be unable to access Google Classroom or Canvas

If you can't find your school resources then double check that you aren't logged in using a personal account. Please log out of all personal accounts before logging on.

Office Hours and TLL (Targeted Learning Labs)

The purpose of the TLL is for me to assist students in small group or one-on-one. It is important for students to reach out to their teachers if they need help. I wanted families to be aware of my schedule so that your child can attend if necessary. Office hours are voluntary, but TLL will be mandatory if I need to work with students. I will be sending out an email to specific students asking them to attend.

TLL Hours: Office Hours:

Tuesday - 2:00-2:30 Monday - 1:05-1:35

Thursday - 2:30-3:00 Tuesday: 1:05-1:35

I teach 7th and 8th grade so I may divide the TLL time between grades so the students and I can focus on grade specific assignments. If a project is due, that grade will be given priority time to meet. Students will be advised if I need to prioritize one grade over another. I am available during office hours to meet students/parents too.

The zoom link will be available on google classroom.

Distance Learning

Go to google classroom for any lessons that have been posted. Please complete one section each day and submit when you've completed the work. Also, check once a day to see if I've posted anything new.

Please make sure you've created a daily routine where it will be easy for you to transition back to the classroom when we return.

Take walks outside with your family and help teach/care for your younger siblings and get your assigned work done to the best of your ability. We will maintain the high expectations we have for each other even if we're not physically in the classroom.

Reach out to your friends and work together virtually. Email me with any confusing questions, but ask your friends first. I don't want your email getting lost in the mailbox so ask me after you've asked 3 friends.
