Weekly Class Log: Below are the class logs that list all the social studies assignments for the week. This is also on the Canvas class homepage that your student can see every day.

Class Syllabus: Below is a syllabus for each class that details expectations, covered content, grading, and late work policies. This is also located in Canvas on the left-hand side and under "Quick Links".

Email: I will be sending frequent email updates, so please check your school email daily! You may also email any questions you have and I will try to get back to you as soon as I can. 

 

Office Hours/Teacher Help: Students can get help on classwork and ask questions. Weekly office hours will be held on the following days/times: Tuesday & Thursday: 2:45 to 3:15

 
Important Information about Office Hours:
Students can drop in any time during this 30-minute window if they have any questions or need help with an assignment. They are not required to come to office hours or stay the entire time.
 

 

  • Teacher Profile: I grew up in Paradise, California, but I currently live in Oakland with my husband and our cute dog Cooper. I am a HUGE sports fan. I route for all Bay Area teams but have been a true Giants and 49ers fan since I was young. I grew up rooting for the Kings, but have become a Warriors fan since I moved to the Bay Area about 15 years ago. My most awesome sports experience was attending Game 2 of the Giants' 2010 World Series win. In my free time, you will definitely find me with my nose stuck in a book.

  • College Education: I attended college at California State University, Chico. I majored in business marketing and international business. I spent my last year of college as an exchange student in Copenhagen, Denmark. After working in the business world for a little over 8 years I decided to go back to school to become a teacher. Last year I completed my Master's degree in Educational Leadership at CSU, East Bay. I love working with kids and am glad I have a career I can be passionate about!
